Saturday 3rd June From 11am

Welcome to the fourth Sudbury Cinema For A Day! We made it to a franchise status and we’re back to a Saturday with 6 movies blending the recently released to classic and cult movies.

Something for everybody again this month starting with Sing, the return of everybody’s favourite ape Kong, some classic actors becoming bank robbers, a celebration of the 30th anniversary of Dirty Dancing, Oscar winning war action and a cult favourite that’s been heavily requested since we embarked on this mission – Withnail and I.

Movies are still £5 per screening (£4 for the special babies screening of Sing) or buy a ridiculously silly priced all-day pass for £12 providing admission (age permitting) to all six movies! If that wasn’t enough we have an extra special 20% discount on food for all ticket holders at The Gainsborough pub and restaurant throughout the day!

Next month, we should be hosting some Beauty, some Beast and an adamantium filled superhero. Keep supporting and we’ll keep doing it…

5.05pm DIRTY DANCING (12A)
This timeless, Oscar winning classic is a phenomenally popular coming-of-age tale, beloved by generations. Teenager Baby goes with her family on vacation where things are pretty tame until she meets Johnny (Patrick Swayze), a dance teacher at the resort who mesmerises with his dance moves, his passion and his misunderstood ‘bad boy’ image. During the summer of 1963, Johnny teaches Baby how to dance and, more importantly, how to love.

Also starring Sam Worthington, Vince Vaughn, Hugo Weaving and Teresa Palmer and directed by Mel Gibson.

9.35pm WITHNAIL & I (15)
London in the '60s, two unemployed actors – the acerbic, elegantly wasted Withnail (Richard E. Grant) and the anxiety-ridden I (Paul McGann), drown their frustrations in booze, pills and lighter fluid in this cult classic now, back on the big screen as it approaches it’s 30th anniversary.
